NATIONAL TEAM CALL UP
Our first-choice goalkeeper, Bonphas Munyasa has received a call-up to join the national team, Harambee Stars ahead of the upcoming World Cup Qualifies in June.
This will be the shot-stopper's second call up having received the maiden call-up in the last FIFA window. And while he did not make the final cut to the team that travelled to Malawi for the Four Nations Tournament, Munyasa will be fighting for a slot in the final squad that will be travelling to Malawi to play against Burundi and Ivory Coast.
Munyasa has been in fine form this season, recording 9 clean sheets in the league so far and is among the goalkeepers who have conceded the least number of goals. This attribute caught the eyes of the national team coaches who've, for the second time now, given the custodian an opportunity to don the national colours.
The Harambee Stars started the campaign with a loss against Togo before picking a win against lowly ranked Seychelles. A win against Burundi and Ivory Coast in the next round of matches will see Kenya boost her chances of qualifying for the next World Cup.
